How confidential is counselling?

In the first session, boundaries of confidentiality are agreed between us.  As an individual member of BACP (MBACP), I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure therein.

What is the counsellor's role?

It is to work with you in a way that respects:

·         your capacity for choice

·         your own cultural context
